i have noticed that some of the newer sets coming out have 2 hdmi connections and some 1. can someone explain what the advantage of 2 would be? if i buy a set with with just 1 will i be satisfied? i guess most of the units mentioned in the forum are 1 input. i'm about to purchase a set and would like some pro/con feedback. thanks

tnbubba, HDMI & DVI are digital connections and that's where technology is heading. Component is your second best choice as it's the best analog connection. Therefore, 2 HDMI would be better than 1. You can, for example, hook up your DVD player to one HDMI and then your Satelite/Cable Box to the other HDMI. In general, the more connections you have, the more flexibilty you have.

I have a Sony XS series Rear LCD with 2 HDMI inputs. I just switched my high def input from Component cable to HDMI - I really see no difference. Therefore, I won't probably spend the money to get a DVI output DVD player. I'll keep my current one with component cables. 2 inputs may be nice for the future, but not a big deal if you asked me right now.
