HELP - My Aquos looks horrible with DISH DVR

My 32" Aquos LCD looks terrible with my DISH DVR signal...I've been through every menu twice but I'm beginning to think there's something wrong with the monitor. Very pixelated, flesh tones will bloom, darker scenes have a tendency to go black and white and are unwatchable (it's not a subtle problem). It's not an HD signal, but I dont' think it ought to be this bad. Any suggestions before I take it back?

try watching a dvd, if it still comes out pixelated, then you have a defective monitor. I have an Aquos but I never seem to get pixelation, the black levels are not that great, though.

I have a 20" aquos which was recently replaced by the manufacturer due to one of the pixels blowing out... I've noticed a REMARKED improvement in the quality of the image since the replacement. I had similar, but less dramatic, impressions to what you're describing.

Definitely try out hooking it up through different video-in cables and trying out different source material. It could be that the DIsh signal is screwey.
