New member Username: KolemanbikingMT Post Number: 1 Registered: Oct-04 | PLEASE HELP..... I JUST PURCHASED A NEW SYMPHONIC DVD/VCR COMBO OFF EBAY FROM A CLOSEOUT FACTORY SALE AND I AM ABLE TO GET THE VCR TO WORK AND AM ABLE TO PLAY MUSIC DISCS IN THE DVD AREA BUT WHEN I TRY TO PUT IN A DVD MOVIE TO WATCH, IT SAYS "PLAYBACK FEATURE MAY NOT BE AVAILABLE ON THIS DISC". SINCE I PURCHASED THIS COMBO UNIT, HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET ANY DVD TO WORK. ANY IDEAS???? PLEASE GIVE SOME ADVICE. WITH NO MANUAL, I WASN'T SURE I EVEN HAD IT HOOKED UP RIGHT. I HOOKED UP THE CABLE LINE TO THE COMBO UNIT PLUS THE TV TO THE COMBO UNIT AND HAVE TRIED THE COLORED CABLE CONNECTORS IN SEVERAL DIFFERENT CONFIGURATIONS TO MAKE SURE I HAVEN'T MADE A WRONG CONNECTION BUT JUST KEEP GETTING THE SAME MESSAGE EVERYTIME. SOOOOOOO VERY FRUSTRATED. THANKS. KATHY M. |

Probably needs a default password unless someone reset it and forgot it. Usually you can check the manual online and find out how to reset the device to it's factory setting, including the password. Best to write to Symphonic if you can't do that in the setup... |
Anonymous | Your problem can be as well NTSC/PAL, Zone, or Macrovision protection. Take a look here http://www.xdimax.com |
