LCDguy Unregistered guest | Hi, I'm trying to decide between these 2 models and hoping to get some insightful feedback from anybody out there... There's not much info online (I guess these models are pretty new), here's what I could find: About LG RZ-32LZ50: LG-France page In English at Pixmania http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/57944/art/samsung/lcd-16-9-monitor-le-32a41.html #fichetechnique Their price is about the same (between 2,300 and 2,500 Euro) The major technical highlights/differences I see between both are: - Resolution: Both sets 1366x768 - Luminance: Both sets 500 cd/m2 - Progressive scan: Both sets feature it. - Sound: 2x10w Nicam/A2 in both sets. - PC-input: Present in both sets - Contrast: Samsung = 600:1, LG = 500:1 - Response time: Samsung = under 16ms, LG = 18ms - Viewing angle: LG = 176º, Samsung = 170º - Teletext: Samsung = 200 pages, LG = 10 pages - Digital input: Samsung = DVI w/ HDCP, LG = DVI-I (not sure what the difference is here) - Image processing: Samsung = DNIe 3 (Digital Natural Image Engine), LG = XD Engine & Faroudja DCDi From the technical spec sheets I'm tempted to go with the Samsung set, although I guess a lot of the final image quality will depend on the image processing engines, and I have only seen the LG at work (quite impressive!), not the Samsung. Does anybody want to throw in their 2 cents about which way to go? Many thanks... |
Anonymous | I am also interested in the LG RZ32LZ50 but cannot find any specs - even on LG site, not even listed. My main concern is why Comets, for instance, say it has not any scart skts, s video i/p etc. or other connections when they are quite clearly behind the rear panel. Have they been disabled for some reason? Sales staff are unhelpful on these points. Is it a case of buy at your own peril? |
