Another component video question

I've already figured out that the component video output on my DVD player offers better quality than the old yellow one, but my question is, can the same cable be used (yellow-red-white), since it needs a 3-way cable, or do I have to buy a somehow "special" red-green-blue cable? I read something about the importance of using a 75ohm impendence cable (or output?); what about the old audio/video RCA cables? Are they any good with component video?
thanks a lot!

They do make special cables for component hookup, but unless you have a high end TV I doubt that you would see a picture difference.
