I've replaced a cd-rom drive with a new one before.. easy. Is it difficult to replace a cd-rom drive with a dvd-burner drive ? Will the computer freak out ?

If you are running XP the drivers are already there and it shouldn't take anything other than just putting it in and connecting cables.
