New member Username: Pinotgrigio1999Post Number: 1 Registered: 01-2004 | Can someone help me...I live about 32 miles from the broadcasting towers in the Baltimore region. When I use a strong powered indoor antenna, I can receive a watchable analog reception, but when I turn to the HDTV channel I get, "No signal", displayed on my receiver, although my HDTV receiver does automatically change to 1080i. What does this mean? Any help would be great. |
RobW Unregistered guest | You may not be receiving enough HDTV signal to display a picture. HDTV is usually broadcast on UHF, not VHF, is very direction and line of sight oriented, and is "Go" or "NO go" (you either receive enough signal for picture or don't) Your indoor antenna may be inadequete for the distance, pointed away from the towers, or there could be intervening terrian (ie. LARGE hills) Try running your location here:http://www.antennaweb.org/aw/welcome.asp |
