I have a pair of Dynalab dual 8 inch woofers and tweeter (two-way). On one of the speakers, the tweeter crackles on almost beat of music. I do not have the time nor do i want to spend the money to fix these. (probably hard to do with this specific brand) but i was wondering if disconnecting the tweeter, taping the connections so they wont touch..would cause any damage to the speakers or my reciever. I disconnected the tweeter from the back of the tweeter, not at the binding post area. Thanks.

No, it will not damage the amplifier but it will probbaly sound like pounded dog stuff.
