New member Username: NjguyPost Number: 3 Registered: 12-2003 | Just got my HDTV cable box but noticed it has a digital COAXIAL OUT connection while my sony dream system receiver/dvd (DAV-FC9) has a digital optical IN conection. What (specifically) do I need to complete this hookup(and will a chain retailer, ie Best Buy, Circuit City have it)? Also, assuming I can make the connection, I assume I will not need to connect the old red/white L/R audio connections? This device only converts the signal to PCM, which is only stereo. It would have been nice if it said that on the box and not the instruction paper. I tried it out today and it only seems to output a stereo signal.
