I’m trying to connect a digital out from my Samsung TV to my Digital in on my pioneer amplifier. I have no sound coming through even though I know that Sound is being sent from the TV. Suggestions most welcome.
I have a samsung smart tv and a pioneer receiver. I have connected the cable from the wall to the cable and all is well what I want to is have my receiver control the sound with a HDMI connected the input 4(arc) on the tv with HDMI cableS connected To input 2 and 3 for my Apple TV and DVD respectively. I have selected optical sound out on the tv and connected the Optical cable to the optical in on the receiver. I get nothing out if the receiver. Am I attempting this with the wrong initial set ups? Any help would be appreciated as I spend too many hours trying to sort this and am being obsessed (according to my wife)
