So I have a really old school LG system, the LG LFK 5931.
I love it, and im not replacing it, however...what annoys me about this ancient thing is that...I will only get 5.1 if i either play a dvd, or an audio cd. Sometimes I plug it into my pc via aux, but then it only plays through the 2 bigger speakers.
What do I need (besides a new system) to get 5.1 out of my LG with just the use of aux? A receiver? which brand? which specs would best compliment this? Wouldn't aux only send a signal through for 2 speakers? how would it encode to get 5.1 through the suggested receiver?
