Need to get the audio portion processed through Denon AVR 591 and B & W speaker system and Velodyne subwoofer. Have HDMI 1.32 cable between HDMI of TV and ARC HDMI port on Denon. Also have an optical audio cable between TV and Denon. My TV is set for TV as opposed to any of the HDMI ports. I have no idea what to set the Denon for. Tried TV, but Denon does not kick in. The other Denon HDMI ports are not in use. The other accessories like CD player and DVD player are connected using composite and component cables. Most greatful! Kindly advise what settings are needed on the Denon. I do not wish to use the over the air antennae to be connected to the Denon AVR 591. Thanks |

Make sure that the audio is set to HDMI or anything else that will indicate that it is using an outside source for audio. As far as your Denon is concerned, make sure that you are using the corresponding HDMI port when listening to the audio part. RTFM will help! |
