Following the posts here, looking for a decent (reasonably priced) HTIB. Onkyo HTS760 looks good, but wait... New HTS770 comes out and it's available in Silver.
Onkyo's website has them with free speaker stands. I get signed up on the website. Go to order, no free stands anymore, then the same day, no more 770 Silver available. JR.com, the only other place with HTS770S - backordered. Get an email that JR has some in stock. 20 minutes later, they're sold out again.
If the 770S is selling like hotcakes, why isn't Onkyo cranking out more?
Then reading the forum, get pointed to SKS-HT240 speakers. Smaller, good reviews, cost more, need a receiver but would work great. Reviewed/released in April.
Now July (3 or 4 months later), HT240's not available anywhere.
Anyone know where to get some SKS-HT240's?
The Onkyo products get good reviews, but why does Onkyo seem to drop them from the product line so fast?
