We are searching for the above home theater system but have the following configuration to work with. A Sony Bravia HDTV LCD with a Sony BDP-S780 Blu Ray Player which needs to be connected to the Home Theater. We do not have a receiver nor an amplifier. Our room is small and do not wish to consider a 5.1 or higher system. Our Blu Ray Player has RCA, Component and an HDMI connections. Same goes for the Sony TV. Ok so the questions that concern us is as follows:
Which brand i.e. Bose or Onkyo or other is the way to go. Is there a major difference between a RCA or HDMI or Optical or Coaxial as far as listening to audio from the Blu Ray player or watching a movie on the Sony TV via a channel. We would also like to be able to stream music via the BluRay player i.e. Pandora. Our budget is not an issue so please make your suggestion without prejudice to price.
Lastly given he above configuration and specifications will the sound quality differ between competing brands ?
