Better to buy a new TV or get a cable / sat box. Are the connections for vhf/uhf screws or coax?

I have time warner cable box.I guess what i need now is an rca
receiver(red,yellow,white plugs)
to connect from the video 1,2,or 3 plugs behind the tv and then to the
cable box.well that's what i've heard.does that sound right?thnx.

So what you have is 3 RCA video in on the TV and no RCA video out on the cable box, correct?

Plug ins like a coax without threads or like mini plugs or RCA? At the very least you'll probably need a coax VHF/UHF splitter to connect from the cable box to those connections or a converter box to go from coax to rca to connect to your video inputs...

You might want to ask time warner since they're service is free...

I broke off the connector to the antenna/cable analog input on my tv. is there another way to hook up my cable. It has an antenna digital input jack and composite inputs and component inputs. Can I hook up to any of them to get a picture?

Time to get a new TV. Do you have an old VCR with cable coax connection? You could run the cable into that than video to the TV via RCA. To tune the cable box channels in you need to set the vcr on channel 3 or 4 depending on your CATV box
