Hi, I want to hookup my HDTV to my blu ray player with HDMI so I get the 1080p picture. But, my receiver doesn't support HDMI(only digital audio or composite). Is it possible to use HDMI for the video and composite(RCA) for the sound? Other words, I want to hook up my Blu ray player to my TV using HDMI for the video, then hook the composite/rca cables from the blu ray player to my receiver for the sound... will this work? If the models of the equipment helps, they're pasted below: Blu ray player: Samsung BD-C5500 TV: Samsung PN50C550 Receiver: Panasonic SA-HE7 Thanks!
yes thats the way I do too.. so hdmi to tv then digital coaxial or optical cable from blu ray to reciever . Then push set up on bluray and switch audio to ditgital.
