I know there are modulators for composite inputs to RF coax, but are there any that will take component (R/B/G) and create an HD quality RF signal on coax?
I have HD outputs on a few devices in addition ot a few HD TVs, and want to have a central media closet. I can't find a way to distribute HD quality signals over coax, and running component cables all over the house will get quite costly. (HD Cable and HD Antenna signals come over COAX, so why can they make a modulator to do the same?)

No there is no such box. The missing piece is a real time HD-MPEG encoder. They do exist for the broadcaster, but most of us would need a 2nd mortgate to afford one. Your most cost effective solution right now is to run 4x RG6 quad to the second display. 3 for component video, and one for digital audio (or two more for analog audio). You can get crimp on RCA conectors for RG6 as well.
