OK now I will actually try to be helpful - What sounds are you trying to hear through the home theater? (Examples would be a cable/Satellite box, DVD player, VCR, etc.) Depending on the Home Theater package you generally hook all of the devices up to it befor running a signal to the TV. |

New member Username: Lilotc63Post Number: 3 Registered: Dec-08 | cable - no converter boxes though |
Silver Member Username: JrbayLivonia [Detroit area], Michigan USA Post Number: 554 Registered: Feb-08 | That is the problem then, how about a VCR? You could connect your cable to a VCR and take the audio out of it to the Home Theater and the video off to the TV |

I have surround sound systems hooked up to every tv in our house and I've hooked them up myself and have never had a problem. thanks |

New member Username: VinhtaylerPost Number: 1 Registered: Dec-09 | I recently bought a Phillips home theater. It came with speakers and dvd player.I have hooked up everything to my flat screen TV, and the sound works when I watch dvds. How do I hook it up so that I can hear regular tv through the surround sound speakers too? home theater discount |

Depending on the age of your equipment, you may not have hdmi. If not, use component.Connect all the components to it and then one output to the TV input . This will make it so when you turn the receiver to an input, the video will automatically go to the tv. wilson amplifiers | wilson signal booster |
