I have a yellow RCA cable going from my cable box to video in on the VCR the another one from video out to the TV. The VCR will play but when I record I get no picture?
Please don't answer this by suggesting I get a tivo or DVR, thanks.
I'm guessing that your VCR is not set to the right input. What channel is your VCR on when you try to record? It should probably be set to "Input 1", "Line 1", "L1", etc. depending on how your inputs are labelled.
