Will I be able to take a component cable from the apple tv unit and plug it into my tv? apple.com/appletv if you are wondering. |

The Apple TV component outputs are three cables (none of them coded yellow) - you would need a scan convertor and possibly other components to downconvert those three signals into an RCA plug for your TV's single, yellow video input. I haven't seen an inexpensive and simple way to down-convert from component to composite for your type of straightforward application. A person in the Tivo community reported getting this accomplished, at a price which makes me wonder if you should either back off on the Apple TV purchase . . . or consider a new television: http://archive.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=172633 |
