I am doing my first DIY home theater, (after a couple of HTIB) I am going to use very small speakers and need a variable crossover in my reciever. The pioneer VSX-516-k has it built in along with many other speaker options, but i cant find the info (even in the manual) for the Yamaha 5930. I see the ability to select small and large but not much else. 1. If you have experience with either please give me your opinions on which one to get and why (or alternatives)? 2. If u know about the Yamaha crossover, please send me a link of let me know? Thanks for the help in advance.
Brian what speakers are you using. Are they left over from a HTIB, if yes I hope there only to get you started. HTIB speakers can be the weakest link in the system. Check out DENON recievers they have variable crossovers 60,80 100,120.
im going to build the audax speakers from partsexpress.com . A buddy of mine built a pare and i like them alot for as small as the are. And small matters alot in my apartment. Any thoughts on the yamaha or pioneer. I need to go budgetted. thanks for the response.
