I recently bought a DLP projector (BenQ PB6200) and have it connected to the S-Video output from my HD tuner. I am not happy at all with the quality of the picture. The projector does not have component-in, but does have S-video, Composite video, and XGA inputs. Could I expect better quality from a "Component out-to-XGA in" connection than that from "S-video? There is a Component-to-XGA converter cable available.
There should be, my In-Focus came with one. It will only work if you put it in progressive scanning though. However none of this will make much difference if the projector does not have the resolution to do 1080i. So ultimately even if you get the converter you may not see much difference.
