I was going to have a guy come in and wire the house for surround sound and audio speakers throughoutthe downstairs. Have decided against it because i may put an addition on the room and do the speakers then. So i am looking into buying an "in the box" system for my tv and would really like to have the rear speakers wireless so i can put them on a bookshelf or something . thanks in advance |

So even if you made a signal from your system wireless to the speakers, you would still have to plug them into a power source. The wireless speakers out there are pretty crappy anyway. |

However, another friend (in another state) recently bought and is happy with a Panasonic HTIB that has an optional wireless speaker setup. For another $150, you can get a separate receiver that powers the rears. The main receiver/amp sends the signal out to this second receiver via RF. This rear receiver powers the rears with wire, and it must be plugged into AC. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?type=product&id=1138085316650 Compatible with: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?type=product&id=1138084939898 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?type=product&id=1138084939898 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?type=product&id=1138084939782 Sony makes a similar thing they call the "Dream System." |
