I'm very interested in starting my home theater with the Onkyo TX-SR700. I'm wondering if I can mate it with the Onkyo SKSHT500 speaker set. The receiver has 100W/Ch while the front and center speakers handle 100 W but the surround sound speakers are only rated for 70W. I'm not going to be cranking these speakers but will I be pushing them past their limits.
I'd appreciate any of the expert advice.

some advice would be investing in better speakers, the speakers have a decible levels in the low-mid 80's, the frequency range is limited, and the sound it produces is very raw, if you listen to music a lot then these are some of the worst speakers you can use, theyre great for movies though, but require more then usual wattage to drive since their sensitivty is so low.
the sub woofer sounds dirty and loose also, the sound of the sub is great imo
this might be a good set to hold you over until you get good speakers.
