The problem is that the only input on the monitor is DVI, and the only output on the comcast box is component, and I'm not sure how to hook the headphones best. Do I need a headphone amp? They're expensive... Or maybe a receiver with a dvi connection and headphone jack? I can't find cheap ones. Does anybody have a similar setup? Thanks! |

It would seem to me that at least buying a receiver with a DVI output and a headphone jack and using a regular dvi-dvi cable between the receiver and the monitor and also connecting the hdtv cable box to the receiver via a component cable should do the trick. The monitor is HDCP compliant and should be able to handle hdtv signal just fine, no? http://www.anandtech.com/displays/showdoc.aspx?i=2332&p=4 |
