DVDs are working perfectly with the surround sound. My problem is, my sound won't work when I watch cable TV. Here is a list of items I'm using. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7299014&type=product&productCatego ryId=pcmcat31800050029&id=1118841724921 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7727711&type=product&productCatego ryId=pcmcat40200050002&id=1140391861017 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7128903&type=product&id=1109938023 817 The DVD player is obviously hooked up to the TV via the HDMI cord. Now, is it a possibility that I need a seperate cable hooked up to get the TV going in surround sound? Let me know what you think folks, or if you need more info. Airek |

Your only choice is to connect the analog R/L audio line outputs from the cable box into the receiver. You will then get stereo or some sort of synthesized surround if your receiver has any such settings. If you are not using a cable box, you could run stereo audio into the receiver from the TV itself. |
