I have an NVIDIA GeForce FX5500 with DVI out. I bought the adaptor that allows you to connect to component, and has the switches on it to switch between the different resolutions. I switched it to the 480i which is what the owners manual to my T.V. said. When I connected the computer to the T.V. all I saw were squiggly lines and occasionally it would be black and white but very blurry. I am connecting to a 36" Wega with component in and S-Video. S-Video sucks and I want to be able to use the best possible resolution that I can. Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance!!!!! |

Use a dual monitor set up to be able to adjust the settings for the TV. nVidia is great about connecting TVs, just go into the Display properties (right clicking anywhere on the desktop, make sure to select the 2nd diplay - TV) and there is a selection box for HDTV A couple of posts from the JVC forum on connecting the nVidia display (yours should be similar); https://www.ecoustics.com/cgi-bin/bbs/show.pl?tpc=2&post=601012#POST601012 https://www.ecoustics.com/cgi-bin/bbs/show.pl?tpc=2&post=600195#POST600195 Good luck |
