I've been watching the Star Trek: TNG Season on DVD, and I'm disappointed in the bass. Whenever there are explosions or even the warp drive kicking on I figured there would be a huge bass rumble. I've been getting very little. I have it set to Cinema B setting. Is this just the limitations of the disc's sound or am I missing a setting?
I've noticed that on many receivers when you hook the sub into the receivers subwoofer output. you get little or no bass. You could try increasing the subwoofer level setting in the receiver. Make sure volume on sub is set. IF you just want your sub to work with DVD'S. I would recommend you hook the sub's RCA cable into one of the spare audio outputs behind you DVD player, this will insure a GOOD pre-amp single into your sub.
