Posted on I am looking to decide between the following three configurations 1. Paradigm Studio 60, Studio CC-570, Studio Surround ADP-470, Seismic 12" Sub 2. Definitive Technologies Mythos 1, Mythos Center, Mythos Gems, 10" Supercube Sub 3. B&W 704, B&W HTM7, B&W DS7, ASW 700 10" sub The room size is 14x22x12 and open to one end in Kitchen. Use will 50% music and 50% movie. What would you recommend for an Amp/Processor that would go with any of the above choice? I will be building the system slowely with just the front pair and an amp/pre and adding the rest later. What do you select first Amp or speakers when building a system? |

Posted on In the case of Paradigm I could substitute Studio 60 with either the Studio 100 or Signature 2. |

Posted on Listening is always the best option. IF you can have booth speakers at home with your own equipment and in optioum placement for your room. In the old days the shops would let you take booth home for a few days and see for youself. The best shops still will. Singer in NY, Spearit in Boston, and some others as well. If you want the most accurate and dynamic, go with the B&Ws. If your going for lower end gear(Adcom Rotel H.K. ect.)the Paradigm will work fine.
