Multiple sources on a single co-ax line?

I have the idea of placing all of my DirecTV boxes in my basement and then simply running a single wire throughout my house to connect all my TV's. The problem is, is that the co-ax output is only on channel 3 or 4, and if you hook up multiple boxes together, only the box nearest the TV (in terms of through the cable) will show...IE I set box a to channel 3, plug its output into the input of box b, then set box b to output to channel 4 then plug it into the tv, I only get a signal on channel 4. The other problem is is that I have 3 receivers so I would need one to go to channel 5 as well.

Is there such thing as a cable TV modulator that can take multiple inputs and then output them to desired channels?

I guess something like this:

http://www.venditions.com/Store/display_item_detail.asp?system=1&prodid=30&categ id=32&subcategid=379&itemid=DBM61151

But without the need for manual input selection...This device takes 3 inputs and outputs them all on channel 3 (or 4), so I would have to run downstairs to select a new receiver to watch...also, I wouldn't be able to watch different receivers on different TVs.

This one looks better, but it is only a two inputer...

Anyone have any experience with these? Do they make a triple input version?
