I'd like to have a home theater system setup and I'm very new to this. I'm going to buy the HP PL4200N 42" plasma TV. It has one HDMI slot, also cable card slot. I don't have a DVD player yet or receiver or speakers... I won't sign up for digital cable (but I have basic cable), I want the home theater system for movies and music only. Do I need to go for a receiver that has HDMI input/output? Can I connect the receiver to my TV through some other cable like S-Video or something? Receivers with HDMI input/output are very expensive...
