I was at my friend's house earlier and tried to hook up my Xbox to his surround sound setup. Everything seemed pretty straightforward, but when I went to hook up the RCA cables to the back of his control panel, it came close to the banana connectors that was coming from the control panel to the center receiver and some sparks flew. After that, sound just stopped coming out of any of his receivers, but the picture was still transmitted to the TV. We've tried both the DVD and the radio tuner options, and there were no sound in either of those. Does anyone know if I possibly could've fried the entire speaker setup, or just those specific banana plugs and cables? Thanks for any help in advance.
