Assume that my speakers are already mounted. I'm confused as to how to connect the receiver to the subwoofer/speakers and how to output the receiver video to my T.V Here's what I have: TV: Old SONY WEGA T.V. 1 component video input 1 S-Video input 3 other yellow,white,red inputs Receiver: Yamaha: HTR-5890 http://www.yamaha.com/yec/products/HTIB/HTR5890.htm# Speakers: Yamaha NSP106 6 speaker package http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000F S10030004&catid=14700 DVD Player: Samsung (DVD-R120) http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=L&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000 FS10061640&catid= Bell Receiver - Model 5920 XBOX My initial setup ------------- DVD/Satellite - Component Video into the Components of the Yamaha Receiver Output TOSLINK digital audio into receiver digital inputs XBOX white/red connections into Receiver ,S-Video into Receiver How should I output the video to my T.V? How should I connect my receiver to my subwoofer? Should I connect the speakers to the subwoofer or the the receiver? This is what's confusing me. I would greatly appreciate your help |

conrad3425234 Unregistered guest | There should be a "moniter output" for you component video to go to you TV on your reciever. Because your receiver will upconvert all you video inputs to component video. Use a subwoofer cable from the sub preout on the back of your receiver to hookup your sub. This is the easiest way. |
