Please excuse the basic descriptions of connections and stuff!!! I'm very new at all this!!!!!!
I am attempting to set up my own hi-fi / cinema surround system in my room, and currently have an amp, CD, DVD, video, digibox, and TV all plugged in and working. The amp has 2 front and one central speaker attached.
I was recently given a JPW SW40 subwoofer for free, and am kinda hoping that it is possible to connect it to my Pioneer VSX-804RDS receiver/amp.
On the sub, there are 2 lots of 2 sockets for phono leads. L and R for both "Line In" and "Line Out". There are also connections for 4 speakers.
On the receiver there is one socket for the sub which is labelled as "PREOUT SUBWOOFER". It looks like the same sort of socket as the phono ones everywhere else on the receiver, and on the sub!
Assuming that it works, please see the pictures attached. It should be quite easy to see which one is which!
Is it possible to connect this sub to my receiver? And if so how??!!
