These are Paradigm's on wall version of the highly acclaimed Monitor 5's.

For av (we are not much of an av family) they throw out a very large soundstage with good imaging. For a limited system I suppose they are good. They are very good at handling poor acoustical environments.

For those interested in audio as well I'd suggest listening first or making sure you can return them. We've now had these speakers for over two months. They've been in two different rooms, wall mounted or on a set of Target stands and have been driven by either a Cambridge 640A or a modded Music Reference RM-9 with a passive front end. Source material is high end.

These speakers sound electrical. They have no rhythm, no pace and are not at all engaging. The high end is dry and gives no impression that a musical instrument is attempting to be reproduced. Mid-range is dry and lacks musicality. Bass is not well controlled and lacks any notion of punch. Compared to an old set of B&W 601's or even Rock Solids, they are not worth listening too unless you simply want to fill your room with sound. Compared to our SD Acoustics R3's, they don't come close.

At the price, build quality is highly compromised. Vinyl and plastic all the way with cheap speaker terminals.
