I have an amp so my receiver(HK AVR520) will do 7.1. My thought is that I should have the listening position speakers as the rears surrounds (as in a 5.1) setup and the 2 back rears connected to the amp. Does that sound right? In related note, my father in law put in a home theater. He has room wired for 7.1, but opted 5 speakers and a sub, with the option to upgrade later. He put his surrounds in the back of the room instead of at the listening position. Is that correct? I'm so damn confused... |
