New member Username: Wallyg3Post Number: 1 Registered: Apr-04 | I have the opportunity to get a free set of home theater speakers but I only have 2 choices: JBL SCS136SI http://www.jbl.com/home/products/product_detail.asp?ProdId=SCS136SI&SerId=SCS&sC atId=HCS or Harman Kardon HKTS 14 http://www.harmankardon.com/product_detail.asp?cat=HCS&prod=HKTS%2014&stype=S I am a total newbie here, but from what I can tell from surfing around, I think JBL is regarded higher than HK. However, I also learned HK makes JBL speakers and the HK system is more expensive. Do you get what you pay for, or are you paying for the name or style? Any help? |

I listened to the hkts14 and they seem to sound better than my old Bose AM15. I have only heard JBL car speakers and they sound great. I am sure the real audiophiles will have a more solid recommendation. |
