I've had the Acoustechs for about a year and a half now, so take my opinions with that in mind.
Paradigm: Pros: Can wall mount the front sound stage. Left/Center/Right are identical speakers. Cons: Speakers only rated down to 120Hz, which makes for kind of a high crossover point to the sub.
Acoustech: Pros: Speakers all go low enough to cross over to the sub at the standard 80Hz. Excellent sub for a budget system. Cons: No bookshelves available for mains, only towers (if space is an issue).
If space is an issue or you like the looks of the Paradigms, I'm sure they are a decent speaker package. My biggest concern would be the high crossover point.
The Acoustechs use horn drivers for the mid\highs (2100Hz and up). Some people *hate* horns, others swear by them. The horns also make the Acoustechs more efficient, meaning it will take less power to drive them to the same sound level compared to the Paradigms.
