Is there a max distance a subwoofer should be placed from receiver?

al bachle	Posted on Monday, January 13, 2003 - 17:13 GMT Just bought a Sony HTDDW-840. Is there a max distance that I should not exceed for the subwoofer. Do I get delay if its too far from the receiver?
Anonymous	Posted on Friday, January 17, 2003 - 17:58 GMT any decent receiver should have the ability to control the subwoofer level, delay and possible the crossover freq... the delay should correlate to how far the speaker is from YOU not the receiver. ie, i am 10 feet from frontL/frontR but only 2 feet from the sub...
