PS2 / HERAO SOUNDSTAGE - HIGH FREQUENCY WHISTLE

Have recently bought Herao PXD 5.1 Soundstage system for my PS2. Using optical output and prologic setting on sound system. The sound is great apart from a high frequency background whistle. Can anyone help please ?
