Im new here. i found this site while searching for help around the net. i hope someone here can help me and wont mind doing so. i have a mitsubishi 65" television. ive been wanting to invest in a surround sound system, but with my money situation, thats not happening soon. What i do have though, are amplifiers, and speakers (mainly for concert style use), that i want to hook up to my tv, and im well, pretty clueless. im not looking for a professional system, just something that actually splits the sound for the 5.1 surround effect. I also have several nice big audio mixers (mostly for concert audio hookups) so if that helps to hook them up so can control the sound and such, let me know, ill get pics and stats on the mixers i have too. basically, im asking for you to come up with a system that would work. if you need to know anything about anything, let me know via aim if you want.. aim me@ spinzdaklown. I dont care which speakers you decide to use, or what. i have a decently sized room so any of the speakers will be fine. Im not looking for professional or anything. just like i said, anything that will work. Im pretty sure i need one more peice of hardware to actually split the speakers into 5 channel. Gold Member Username: Paul_ohstbucksPost Number: 1968 Registered: Jan-05 | You'll need receiver to do the 5.1 processing. So long it will connect to your speakers, you'll be all set. If you want to use your poweramps, just be sure the receiver you buy will also be compatable bridge to them. |

New member Username: AldubbPost Number: 2 Registered: Aug-05 | i know the 2 sx500's have parrallel inputs. the smaller jbl's have the standard male/female inputs. any suggestions on a nice reciever? or would you suggest just saving up and gettin a decent system in a box deal? in your eyes, is it ideally possible to have a nice working system with the above materials? and thanx for the reply. |
