Reginald D Unregistered guest | You have to consider Orb Audio in that price range, too. You can start w/ the $749 package which sounds fantastic. And if you ever want more output, the system is upgradeable. |

Anonymous | If you are still looking around, you might want to consider the Acoustech line from BIC America. These speakers use horn mid/high drivers, and horns tend to be a love 'em or hate 'em thing. I don't know if there are any dealers in your area where you can sit down and listen to them, if not you can try auditioning some Klipsch speakers to see if you like the general characteristics of horns, and take it from there. I think the Acoustechs sound better than the Synergy line, but not as good as the Reference line, from Klipsch. Plus the Acoustech sub is excellent, Dr. Hsu had a hand in designing it. You should be able to find these for right about $800. http://audaud.com/audaud/MAR04/component/comp1.html |
