New guy here. I've just found ecoustics and while browsing the message board I see a whole lot of Onkyo talk going on. What's the deal with Onkyo products? Great value, or what? I've never owned any.
Thanks in advance, O.Z.

Go to C-Net and get the review on the HT-S650. It is the best system for under $2000.00

I have the 650. I listened to the kenwoods, yamahas, sony, and even a Bose in the stores. While the Bose came close - it was $999. My 650 was $450 in August. Good bass (umm, you can feel the sub through the couch), midrange and highs are clear - just watched LOTR (again) yesterday and am continually amazed at this system. While I am sure that separates at about 1200 - 1500 could blow away the 650, I just wasn't about to spend that much. That is why there seem to be so many onkyo fans here. The rest of the systems at 300 - 900 price range are toys. This one is a real home theater system.

The Onkyo is simply the best system out there in a box.
