I found a Pionneer VSX-D466S a while ago and I noticed that if I try to turn the volume up over a quarter of the way it overloads and shuts off. I have several theories as to what may be the cause but I don't know which is right.

For starters, make sure your speaker connections are good...both at the speakers and at the receiver.
