Hey guys, whazzup! Listen, I have one little question for you dudes. If you wanted to buy a surround sound stereo and you wanted one that you plan to impress teenagers AND audiophiles with it, which equipment would you recommend? In other words, the system would have to sound good to audiophiles, and pound out lots of bass when called upon to do so. What would you guys buy?

I would only buy a system that impressed me. Maybe you should ask some teenagers and audiophiles what they like and govern yourself accordingly.

Well, I did find these Cerwin Vega speakers with dual 15" woofers. I believe the model number for them is CLSC-215. Do you think these speakers would be worth showing off? Thanks

Correction: Can the rainmakers pound out lots of bass when called upon to do so?

What about the JBL e90's or e100's hooked up to a Marantz receiver? Will this be a good system to show off?

Joe, that's great. In my experience,Totems tend to be "Forest Gump" speakers-you never know what you're going to get. But when they are right, man they are right.

Mike,
I suggest you audition speakers and choose the ones that impress you most.

Pretty simple, eh?
