Spdif(coax) to 5.1

guyneedshelp Unregistered guest	Posted on Thursday, March 11, 2004 - 08:31 GMT my computer has a spdif(coax)out and my stereo has 5.1 inputs powerdvd on my computer can decode the audio into 5.1 so my question is can i get the spdif(coax) into my stereo's 5.1 inputs without the use of a a/v receiver, maybe some sort of converter or something?

wizard Unregistered guest	Posted on Tuesday, April 06, 2004 - 09:41 GMT 1st of all: buy a good amp... 2nd, if you only have SPDIF out on your pc (instead of 5 seperate outputs), then you need a seperate decoder to decode the 5.1 (Digital) channel. Concidered the fact that your amp does not support digital signals. I know, since i had the same problem... PS sorry for the bad English....
