5.0 Surround vs 5.1 Surround?

Is the .1 subw channel so independent that a pair of full size front speakers can't do the job? Can the Surround Amps/Receivers be switched to deliver the sound this way in any of the surround systems? (DD, DTS, DPLII...) Thanx!

Berny Silver Member Username: Project6 Post Number: 343 Registered: Dec-03	Posted on Wednesday, March 10, 2004 - 21:36 GMT just make sure that you configure the receiver for "LARGE" speakers and turn off the LFE or SUB-OUT. This will in turn send the lower frequencies to both your front speakers.
