I'm looking at getting this receiver. It seems to have alot of features for the current street price (~$350).
I need help selecting speakers. Some info:
15x13 room mostly TV and Movies (some radio) would like speakers that I can mount on wall brackets While the receiver is 7.1, this will be setup as 6.1 I value clarity over mind-bleeding sound. Would like to spend between $200 and $500, but could be convinced to spend a little more.
First of all you can buy a 200.00 sound system from KLH and make it sound exactly like a bose or klipsch system. You can do this with an equalizer and or BBE processor. With an equalizer or BBE processor you can make the highs higher or lows lower if you want to. I have a KLH system with two 250 watts speakers and 5.1 and it sounds great. My only problem is power it's definately not the speakers it's the receiver. Anyway I'm just saying you should really consider getting an equalizer and or BBE it could save you hundreds of dollars it did for me. But if you don't want KLH you can get speakers from canyon audio. Don't get these confused with theater reasearch speakers(junk). Audioholics.com reviewed these speakers and they didn't do too bad. Remember equalizer and BBE processor!
