RGB and Optical Cables used in setup

Ethan Wilke New member Username: Eaw Post Number: 2 Registered: Mar-05	Posted on Thursday, March 10, 2005 - 22:18 GMT I'll try to provide enough info without going into too much detail: have a Sony DVD/CD player (DVPNC875VB) , Sony Receiver (STR-DE685), Comcast HD/DVR box, and Sony 42WE655. What is the correct amount of RGB and Optical cables to be used for getting the most out of these components? As of now, I have one RGB and one Optical, plus the "cable" that Comcast provides. Do I need another Optical and RGB - looking at setup diagrams it looks as though I might. I apologize if this is an ignorant question!

I can get my cable signal to broadcast in dolby 5.1, however I cannot get me dvd's to play in dolby 5.1 I have tried just about everything. Any suggestions?
