I have a Terratec DMX 6 fire PC audio card and a digital cable box. I am going to drop the cable and get directv (or maybe Dish network). I want to record the digital output from the DBS to my audio card. But my audio card will only record PCM stereo, sometimes known as lt/rt only. So I need to buy a DBS receiver that will downmix the Dolby digital on its digital output to PCM stereo. My sound card will handle 44.1 or 48 kHz and sync on external input. Problem is I can't find a DBS receiver that explicitly says it will downmix to PCM stereo from DD. Anyone know of a receiver that will do this?
